Lindsey Buckingham, of Fleetwood Mac fame, is previewing his upcoming album Seeds We Sow with a free MP3 download. The album is set to launch on September 6th, marking his sixth solo release and the third since 2006.

His two previous albums were Under the Skin and Gift of Screws. The free MP3 download shares the name of the album "Seeds We Sow". It is an expansion of Buckingham's style on his prior two albums, which is a sonic exploration of acoustic guitar styles which are all performed and produced by Buckingham. The wistful vocals complement the song's overall mood well. Buckingham will be kicking off a North American tour with his road band to celebrate the launch of his new album. The tour will feature more than 30 date, including a two-night performance in Reno, Nevada.

An interesting new gadget combines an MP3 player with a solar device charger and an FM transmitter, all in one portable unit. This convenient gadget is powered by the sun, so it's great to take with you on trips where you may worry about finding a place to plug in your charger.

It can charge a variety of devices via USB, micro USB and some adapters for specific feature phones as well. It can also play MP3s from a microSD card inserted into a slot. Its FM transmitter capability means it can be plugged into the car if you want to listen to MP3s from your car stereo. It can be purchased for $27.94 on Chinavasion, but it's hard to know how well it actually functions without a proper test. Given the price, there is reason to be skeptical.
